AA Alive's records contain 12,348 completed medical-equipment delivery orders and 10,708 distinct customer identifiers. A separate cohort of 642 qualifying completed hospital-bed rentals had a median duration of 31 days, with the middle half lasting 19–82.8 days. Regional analysis uses 8,923 classifiable delivery records, of which approximately 45% were in Klang Valley. These are different cohorts with different denominators, not a count of Malaysian patients or households. The records come from one commercial operator and are not a representative national survey. They do not measure clinical recovery, satisfaction, current demand, stock or delivery punctuality. Only delayed aggregate findings are published; individual records and identifiers are not released.
Hospital-bed rentals: median 31 days
Among 642 qualifying completed hospital-bed rentals recorded from 1 March 2025 to 26 April 2026, the median duration was 31 days. The middle 50% lasted 19 to 82.8 days.
Bed identification is explicit: unrelated equipment is not counted as a hospital-bed rental. Cancelled, incomplete, zero-day and over-365-day records are excluded. Because ongoing rentals are excluded, this is not an estimate of the duration of all rentals started in the period.
Practical use: compare short and longer rental-cost scenarios when planning a budget. The median is not a recommended rental term or a prediction of an individual's care or recovery. See the one-, two- and three-month cost examples.

12,348 delivered equipment orders—not 12,348 patients
From 29 March 2023 to 26 April 2026, the eligible records contain 12,348 medical-equipment orders with a completed-delivery timestamp and 10,708 distinct customer identifiers. Equipment is broader than hospital beds; repeat orders are possible.
A customer identifier is an operational record, not a verified unique person, household or patient. A completed timestamp does not show that delivery was on time, that the customer was satisfied or that the equipment improved a clinical outcome.
Regional composition: 8,923 classifiable records
| Broad region | Rounded share |
|---|---|
| Klang Valley | 45% |
| Northern | 25% |
| Southern | 15% |
| East Coast | 10% |
| East Malaysia | 5% |
Shares are rounded to the nearest five percentage points. Klang Valley accounts for 4,017 of the 8,923 classifiable records. Records with uncertain regional classification are excluded from this denominator. Do not apply these percentages to all 12,348 delivered orders or treat them as regional market share.
